It was nice and fluffy, which is just what I needed after finishing Crooked Kingdom。 Based off of the summary I was expecting a kind of cohesive plot going through all the stories but didn't really get that。 The only stories that really stood out to me were Sam's, TJ's, and Alex's。 It was nice and fluffy, which is just what I needed after finishing Crooked Kingdom。 Based off of the summary I was expecting a kind of cohesive plot going through all the stories but didn't really get that。 The only stories that really stood out to me were Sam's, TJ's, and Alex's。 。。。more

All the short stories were entertaining! My top three favorites are Alex’s, Hearth’s, and Mallory’s。

It was cool seeing many of these characters again。 The ending was hysterical。 Totally a fun journey through the 9 worlds but likely not required reading。 But it was definitely fun。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I was SO disappointed by the last chapter。 Having looked forward to it with my youngest all through the book, we were anticipating som PG 13 level kissing and tummy-butterflies。 Or at least a continuation of the last kiss in the Magnus Series。But the thoughts of Alex sounded a lot like the thoughts of Magnus, except less butterflies and/or longing, and Magnus was not part of the story at all。 A bit in the same line of thought, Hearthstone having dinner with Inger is all very nice, but the butter I was SO disappointed by the last chapter。 Having looked forward to it with my youngest all through the book, we were anticipating som PG 13 level kissing and tummy-butterflies。 Or at least a continuation of the last kiss in the Magnus Series。But the thoughts of Alex sounded a lot like the thoughts of Magnus, except less butterflies and/or longing, and Magnus was not part of the story at all。 A bit in the same line of thought, Hearthstone having dinner with Inger is all very nice, but the butterflies there seemed misplaced, I think。 I am not at home in the fan-fic communities, but I know someone who is, and from what I've heard, that community ( in its more modest writings) might offer exactly what this book needs。Thor was fun。 。。。more

A good collection of fun and enjoyable stories。 The highlight for me was TJ's story as it really gave some new insights into his character and his backstory while also making for a fun and exciting quest。 I also rather enjoyed Malory, Sam and Alexs segments which were all quest based too。 I'm not really a fan of Halfborn so his story did little for me and I was a little disapointed by Harthstones, who is one of my favourtie characters and normally has a deep feeling of meloncholly and loss tied A good collection of fun and enjoyable stories。 The highlight for me was TJ's story as it really gave some new insights into his character and his backstory while also making for a fun and exciting quest。 I also rather enjoyed Malory, Sam and Alexs segments which were all quest based too。 I'm not really a fan of Halfborn so his story did little for me and I was a little disapointed by Harthstones, who is one of my favourtie characters and normally has a deep feeling of meloncholly and loss tied to him which I was hoping would be more further explored with a story from his perspective。It was really cool how all 9 stories interconected and were all set on the same day。 It reminded me of that old Simpsons epjsode about all the short stories in Springfeild。 I also liked seeing all these characters have adventures and interact without Magnus presence and enjoys the explination for his absence (note I would love a story about him and Anabeth staying together and going on a quest together)Nine from the Nine makes for a good fun read and is a perfect chaser (geddit) for anyone who's gone through all three Magnus books and was left wanting more。 。。。more

I love this ensemble。 I love their stories and POVS。 I wish I had gotten more。 I really liked this one。 This one occurs after the end of the Magnus Chase trilogy which is a good thing that I already finished it。 I love how the short stories connected and yet all had tales from each of the nine realms。 Thor’s jog across the nine realms was hilarious to see in every short story and how it connected the book。 I also loved seeing POVs of main characters which we never had before。 I wish I had more A I love this ensemble。 I love their stories and POVS。 I wish I had gotten more。 I really liked this one。 This one occurs after the end of the Magnus Chase trilogy which is a good thing that I already finished it。 I love how the short stories connected and yet all had tales from each of the nine realms。 Thor’s jog across the nine realms was hilarious to see in every short story and how it connected the book。 I also loved seeing POVs of main characters which we never had before。 I wish I had more Alex chapters since I love Alex。 It was a far better book than the other Magnus Chase companion book。 。。。more

Honestly, it doesn’t matter how many books I read, there is always something special with Rick Riordan’s books。 I just love the way he connects everything and the stories from different perspective。 I also love the way characters in Magnus Chase, so learning more about the character by reading from their perspective was definitely something I enjoyed。 Not giving this a five (even if I am considering it) because I usually save those for the top book, so four stars will do。 I’ll add a half in my h Honestly, it doesn’t matter how many books I read, there is always something special with Rick Riordan’s books。 I just love the way he connects everything and the stories from different perspective。 I also love the way characters in Magnus Chase, so learning more about the character by reading from their perspective was definitely something I enjoyed。 Not giving this a five (even if I am considering it) because I usually save those for the top book, so four stars will do。 I’ll add a half in my head。 。。。more

A collection of stories told by nine different POVs from the Magnus Chase universe。Spoilers ahead。I've mentioned several times on this blog just how big of a fan I am of anything Rick Riordan writes。 Like, he could write the nautical weather report and I would STILL read it。 And I'd probably laugh several times along the way because that's just how great Uncle Rick's skill is。 I really enjoyed the Magnus Chase books the second time I read them。 I would go as far as to say that the series perfect A collection of stories told by nine different POVs from the Magnus Chase universe。Spoilers ahead。I've mentioned several times on this blog just how big of a fan I am of anything Rick Riordan writes。 Like, he could write the nautical weather report and I would STILL read it。 And I'd probably laugh several times along the way because that's just how great Uncle Rick's skill is。 I really enjoyed the Magnus Chase books the second time I read them。 I would go as far as to say that the series perfectly encapsulates why Riordan is such a beloved author and amazing person: he doesn't shy away from keeping up with the times and actively writes diverse characters into the story so that they're more than just token pieces。 I could go on for ages about why I love Rick Riordan so much。Anyway, 9 From the Nine Worlds was the perfect humorous and light read。 I loved reading from the other characters' perspectives especially from Alex and Amir。 Alex Fierro has a special place in my heart and I think that if I revisited the series, I would love Alex and Magnus more than I did the first and second time around。 (Like, I completely forgot that Magnus was pansexual! How freaking cool is that? I think I didn't really register it while reading the series because I didn't have the vocabulary then that I do now。) Thor's running gag (literally) was hilarious and tied the stories together in a comical way。 It's a shame that he forgot to turn his FitBit thing on。 I can't imagine having to rerun all of that! 。。。more

There are nine short stories in this book and while they weren't exactly exceptional stories, they were still fun to read。 I am always happy to read books/stories with my favorite characters (in this case, Amir, Blitzen, Hearthstone, Sam, T。J, Mallory, Halfborn, and Alex) and the different adventures they went on。 Though I did miss Magnus in this book。 That being said, the stories were way too fast-paced (I mean, they are short stories so there's that。。。)。 Also, the stories all seemed kind of po There are nine short stories in this book and while they weren't exactly exceptional stories, they were still fun to read。 I am always happy to read books/stories with my favorite characters (in this case, Amir, Blitzen, Hearthstone, Sam, T。J, Mallory, Halfborn, and Alex) and the different adventures they went on。 Though I did miss Magnus in this book。 That being said, the stories were way too fast-paced (I mean, they are short stories so there's that。。。)。 Also, the stories all seemed kind of pointless。 I mean, it's not really related/connected to the series in any way (exception; the characters and the nine realms)。 This book seems to be written for the fans who miss the main characters (Magnus excepted) and so, the stories are all random and meaningless。 But hey, I got a tour (sort of) through the Nine Realms and my tour guides were my favorite characters! 。。。more

Cute! It was fun reading from the perspective of some of the other characters in this series (though I do wish Magnus had shown up at SOME point。 。 。 A tiny bit sad he didn’t)。 These short stories were VERY short (usually 10-15 pages, one was LESS than 10 pages), so it’s not like anything went particularly deep, but they were fun。 Threading Thor through the nine worlds was a fun way to tie everything together, and it made you realize everything was in a chronological sequence。 So although they w Cute! I read Magnus Chase series because it's written by Rick Riordan & I enjoyed Percy Jackson。 But I don't find Magnus Chase interesting & stopped reading in the middle of book 2。 It's so dull & boring。 Or maybe this series is made for teenagers。And I don't get the point of this 9 from the nine worlds book, just waste of money & time。 I even think print it as a book is just a waste of paper, and I receive defect book that should not be sell, uneven cut on the side of the book。 I sell it & glad someb I read Magnus Chase series because it's written by Rick Riordan & I enjoyed Percy Jackson。 But I don't find Magnus Chase interesting & stopped reading in the middle of book 2。 It's so dull & boring。 Or maybe this series is made for teenagers。And I don't get the point of this 9 from the nine worlds book, just waste of money & time。 I even think print it as a book is just a waste of paper, and I receive defect book that should not be sell, uneven cut on the side of the book。 I sell it & glad somebody want to buy it。 。。。more
